Couples Therapy

Our Relationships

I believe the path to mental wellness is found through improving our relationships with ourselves and those closest to us. We experience lasting joy in life through kind and loving relationships

My hope as a relationship counselor is to introduce new techniques for developing better communication, strengthen relationship bonds, and maintain lifelong relationships. I do this by relationship education, and encouraging growth opportunities.

“Ultimately the bond of all companionship, whether in marriage or in friendship is conversation.”

-Oscar Wilde

Treatment Focus

Communicate

First, we need to identify any pain cycles getting in the way of healthy communication. It is easy to miss the pain of others when blinded by our own pain.

Strengthen

Identifying cycles of peace can help us to interrupt the pain cycles. Replacing painful moments with healthy productive communication can go a long way in strengthening our relationships.

Maintain

Maintaining healthy patterns of communication will help relationships feel rejuvenated. Continuing to strengthen bonds can lead to life long joy and happiness.

Testimonial

It was difficult to find a marriage counselor who was a good fit for both my wife and I, but, fortunately, we eventually discovered Michael. Working with Michael on marriage issues actually improved our marriage. He didn’t pick sides, didn’t spend undue time with us airing issues from the past, and he offered practical advice that would benefit us going forward. I had lost faith in marriage counseling because each marriage counselor I had tried seemed to make issues worse. Michael is the exception. Both my wife and I appreciate his work, which has totally changed the trajectory of our marriage.
